Benching Residential

Emerging trends in kitchen design incorporate flair, functional operational work areas, as well as quality craftsmanship. It is this combination that sets one kitchen apart from another.

When considering renovating or planning your new kitchen, design is crucial. Stainless steel has a neutral colour; hence, it merges well with any modern kitchen. While kitchen trends come and go, well-designed kitchens and stainless benchtops do not date.

Stainless steel is stain and heat resistant, durable, versatile and stylish. It reflects light, brightening darker kitchens. Stainless steel has a modern, cool-toned look that makes it an ideal counterpart to warm-toned materials such as wood.

For the kitchen design we suggest you utilise the professional skills of a designer. Initially this may cost a little more, but in the long run this advice will be invaluable. Design considerations include:

  • Stainless steel type / finish (usually 1.2mm G304 Brushed Satin)
  • Sinks – the type and location of sinks to be inserted in the benchtop
  • Edge height & profile
  • Upstand height & profile (if any)
